Overview

The Harker School is currently searching for Enrichment and Supervision Leaders to join our Lower School Enrichment and Supervision Team. Qualified applicants should have experience working with children between the ages of 5-11, with previous experience in a camp or school setting.

 

The Harker School's Bucknall Enrichment & Supervision Team (BEST) is currently seeking energetic and dedicated individuals to serve students in Grades K - 5 for our Lower School Campus for the 2017 - 2018 school year.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervise student’s activities and play, in a non-academic setting, that contributes to individual student development.

Plan and implement age appropriate enrichment activities

Provide a positive environment for students to learn and develop lifelong skills.
Ensure the physical and emotional safety of the children at all times.

Terms of Employment:
These non-exempt positions are part-time for the 2017 - 2018 academic school year which runs from August 21st, 2017 through June 7, 2018. There are no benefits associated with this position. Must have previous experience working with children in a school or a camp setting. Required availability Monday through Friday, 3:00-6:00pm, with additional hours depending on applicant’s availability, to include Monday through Friday, 7:30am-8:30am, 11:45am-1:15pm and 3:00pm-6:30pm 

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must hold current certification in both first aid and CPR or obtain certification within 1 month of employment.
Must have prior experience working with children in a school or camp setting.
Ability to communicate and work with groups of all age and skill levels, and provide necessary direction and instruction to students.

Ability to plan and implement creative, age appropriate activities, to include passive and active activities
Ability to communicate in effective English with staff, parents, and children.
